Full Time Police Officer (Posted: 10/31/23)
SALARY RANGE: $31.50 - $40.50/hr DOQ
The City of Le Center, MN (Population: 2,544) is currently accepting applications for an open full-time Police Officer position. The City of Le Center is the county seat of Le Sueur County and is located approximately 60 miles southwest of Minneapolis/St. Paul and approximately 25 miles northeast of Mankato. 2023 pay rate is $31.50 - $40.50. We also offer a $1.75 per hour night shift pay differential and a $1.00 per hour premium pay for utilizing a second language in the performance of your duties.

Benefits Include:
  • Health Insurance: Single - 100% employee premium paid by city / Family - 100% employee premium paid by city and 75% of dependent(s) premium paid by city
  • Yearly Uniform Allowance - $1,050
  • PERA (Public Employees Retirement Association)
  • Holiday Pay
  • Vacation
  • Sick Leave
  • HSA Eligible Health Plan Option

Applicants should possess strong communication skills, be community orientated, and be able to render sound decisions while working with limited supervision. A comprehensive background investigation will be conducted, including a medical and psychological examination. Lateral applicants are encouraged to apply.
